Terms of Use

What you can and cannot do with Prep Brook content, and how to report copyright problems.

  • Read, share links, and save pages for your own use: welcome.
  • Copying our guides, reselling them, or scraping the site: not allowed without written permission.
  • Quoting a short passage with a credit and a link back is fine.

What you are welcome to do

  • Read and use our guides for your own kitchen and shopping decisions
  • Share links to any Prep Brook page on social media, forums, or your own site
  • Print or save a page for your own personal reference
  • Quote a short passage (a sentence or two) with clear credit to Prep Brook and a link back to the original page

What is not allowed

Unless you have our written permission, you may not:

  • Reproduce our content. Copy, republish, or redistribute full guides, large sections, tables, or images, on any site or platform.
  • Use it commercially. Sell, license, or use our content in products, courses, apps, or paid services.
  • Scrape or automate. Use bots, scrapers, crawlers, or other automated tools to copy content or collect data from the site, including for training artificial intelligence models or building datasets. Standard search engine indexing is welcome.
  • Frame or mirror Prep Brook pages so they look like part of another website.
  • Disrupt the site. Try to hack, overload, or break the site, or get around any security feature.
  • Spam or mislead. Post spam, malware, or misleading content, or pretend to be Prep Brook or someone else.

Linking to Prep Brook

You may link to any page on Prep Brook without asking. Please do not link in a way that suggests we endorse you, your product, or your site unless we have agreed to it in writing.

We respect copyright and expect others to do the same. If you believe content on Prep Brook infringes your copyright, send a notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) to hello@prepbrook.com with the subject line “DMCA Notice.” Please include:

  • Your physical or electronic signature
  • A description of the copyrighted work you believe was infringed
  • The exact URL on Prep Brook where the material appears
  • Your name, mailing address, phone number, and email address
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for the owner

We review every complete notice and remove or disable access to infringing material quickly.

Counter-notices

If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to hello@prepbrook.com. It should include your signature, a description of the removed material and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was removed by mistake, your contact details, and your consent to the jurisdiction of a federal court in your district (or in California if you live outside the US).

Enforcement

We may block access, remove content, or take legal action against anyone who breaks these Terms of Use. These terms work together with our Terms and Conditions, which include our governing law (State of California, USA).
