About Prep Brook
We read the manual so your drink just works.
Prep Brook is a research-based guide to juicing, blending, plant milk, drinkware, and the small tools that make fresh drinks easy. We do the reading, so you can do the sipping.
Our story
Built for the morning counter
Prep Brook began in 2026 with a familiar problem: a counter full of drink gadgets and no simple way to tell which ones earn their space. Every store page claims to be the best. Owner reviews contradict each other. The details that matter, like real batch size, how the lid seals, or how long cleanup takes, hide in the fine print.
So we built the site we wanted to read. One place that reads the specs, the manuals, and the owner reviews, then explains the answer in plain words. No hype, no padding, and no pretending.
Our mission is simple: help you choose, use, and care for drink-prep gear with confidence, so every smoothie, juice, and cup of plant milk turns out the way you hoped.
What we cover
Everything between the fridge and the first sip
We focus on one corner of the kitchen and go deep. Our guides fall into four lanes: How-To Guides & Hacks, Explained & Compared, Cleaning, Care & Troubleshooting, and buying guides.
Blenders, juicers & slushies
Smoothie blenders, personal blenders, citrus juicers, and slushie machines.
Plant-milk makers
Soy, oat, and nut milk makers, plus the bags and strainers that go with them.
Coffee and drinks on the go
Travel tumblers, insulated cups, and leak-proof lids for busy mornings.
Glass drinkware
Glass tumblers, bamboo lids, and reusable straws for everyday sipping.
Loose-leaf tea
Infusers, strainers, and the tools that let tea leaves open up properly.
Fresh prep tools
Spiralizers, choppers, and strainers for veggie noodles and quick prep.
How we research
Four steps behind every guide
Every guide on Prep Brook is research based. We do not run a test kitchen or lab, and we never claim to. Here is exactly how a guide comes together:
01
Read the specs
We start with manufacturer specifications: capacity, wattage, materials, voltage, and what comes in the box. Then we line them up side by side.
02
Read the manual
Manuals reveal what listings skip, like fill limits, cleaning rules, and which parts are dishwasher safe.
03
Study owner reviews
We look for patterns across verified owner reviews. One angry review is noise. Fifty people mentioning a leaky lid is a signal.
04
Write the plain answer
We turn it all into a clear pick for each kind of buyer, and we name the trade-offs honestly.
What we never do
Our honesty rules
- Claim hands-on or lab testing we did not do
- Accept payment for a spot in our rankings
- Invent reviews, quotes, or star ratings
- Hide a product’s weak spots to make a sale
How we earn
Reader supported, never pay to play
Prep Brook is free to read. When you buy through some of our links, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
Commissions keep the research going, but they never decide our picks. The details are in our Affiliate Disclosure.
Who writes Prep Brook
A small editorial team with one focus
Prep Brook is written and updated by the Prep Brook editorial team. We revisit guides when products change, when new models arrive, or when readers point out something we missed. Have a correction or a question we have not answered yet? We would love to hear it at hello@prepbrook.com.
