Agreement to these terms

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Prep Brook (“we,” “us,” or “our”) for your use of prepbrook.com. By using the site, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Who can use Prep Brook

You must be at least 13 years old to use Prep Brook. If you are under 18, please use the site with a parent or guardian’s involvement, and have an adult make any purchase through a store we link to.

Our content

All guides, text, graphics, tables, and page designs on Prep Brook are owned by Prep Brook or used with permission, and are protected by copyright law. You may read, share links to, and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. Other uses are explained in our Terms of Use.

Comments and messages you send

If comments are open and you post one, or you send us a message, you keep ownership of what you wrote. You give us a free, worldwide, non-exclusive right to display, edit for length or clarity, and remove it. You agree not to post anything unlawful, hateful, misleading, spammy, or that breaks someone else’s rights. We may remove any comment for any reason.

Purchases and third-party stores

Prep Brook does not sell products. When you click a product link, you go to a third-party store, usually Amazon. Your order, payment, shipping, returns, and warranty are handled by that store and the manufacturer, under their terms. We are not a party to that transaction. Prices and availability shown or linked on our site can change at any time.

No warranties

Prep Brook is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do our best to keep guides accurate and useful, but we make no promises that the site will be error free, always available, or that any product will meet your needs. Our guides are research based and do not involve hands-on testing, as explained in our Disclaimer.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Prep Brook and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or any loss of data, money, or property, that comes from your use of the site or any product you buy after reading it. If we are found liable for anything, our total liability is limited to one hundred US dollars (US$100).

Your responsibility

You agree to defend and hold Prep Brook harmless from claims, losses, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) that come from your misuse of the site, from content you post, or from your breaking these Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in California, and you agree to their jurisdiction. Before taking any legal step, please email us first. Most problems can be solved with a friendly conversation.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above. If you keep using Prep Brook after a change, you accept the updated Terms.

General terms

• If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
• If we do not enforce a right right away, we have not given it up.
• These Terms, together with the policies linked above, are the full agreement between you and Prep Brook about using the site.
